Loft Rewards is operated by The Loft Bar Kelham, a cocktail bar located in Kelham Island, Sheffield. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the Loft Rewards loyalty app.
What data we collect
- Email address — used to sign you in via magic link and to identify your account
- Display name — optional, shown to staff when they scan your QR code
- Phone number — optional, stored on your profile if you choose to add it
- Transaction history — points earned and rewards redeemed, linked to your account
- Push notification subscription — if you opt in, we store a browser push token to send you notifications
How we use your data
- To operate the loyalty programme — tracking and redeeming your points
- To send you sign-in links via email
- To send push notifications about promotions (only if you opt in)
- To display your name to staff when awarding points
We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
Data storage & security
Your data is stored securely in Supabase (hosted in the EU, London region) with row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data. Authentication is handled via secure, time-limited magic links — we never store passwords.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data (visible in your profile and history)
- Correct inaccurate data (edit your profile at any time)
- Delete your account — use the "Delete Account" button on your profile page to permanently remove your data
- Withdraw consent for push notifications via your browser settings
Cookies & local storage
We use essential cookies only — to keep you signed in. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or any third-party tracking scripts. The app may cache data locally for offline access (your points balance and QR code).
